R 16 Championship Korea

We at R16 are all about Respect. Respect is about acknowledgement, of which someone is, or what they have done or are doing worldwide. Throughout our worldwide travels, we have seen the beauty, struggles, and passion behind the different Bboy scenes and communities around the world. This is a statment from Bboys. this is their voice and mission.
On May 25, 2013, a b boy competition took place in Uijeongbu at the Arts Center. This was second time after the Freestyle event. It was a wonderful and amazing hall with nice sitting arrangements. However I could not get a good seat as I was quite late.

There were some awesome performances with amazing body language. There were some really good poppers with amazing talent. The Crazy Kyo unfortunately lost in the first round; however they were really good to see on stage. In mid of the performances the Seoul sisters perform their skillful arts and win the hearts of the people around.

Every performer was superb with their art but some of them were just worth watch specially the group members of crews. I still remember the performance of crw in last year B Boy competition in Seoul where they were just awesome and I thought they will win the competition but unfortunately they did not. However this time I am hopeful for them because their skills are incredibly well and their unique styles get appreciation from all around.

The audience were just crazy for these performances I myself want to go there are to perform some move but I know I could not.. hahhaha.I enjoyed this event as B boy competitions always gave me more energy and fun. Thanks to Korea tourism Organization for their support all the way to explore the beautiful performances.

Tableeghi Ijtema Korea 2013

Islam is the religion of peace and Brotherhood. The preaching’s of Islam are everlasting and equally for all the times of once life. Islam prefers Humanity in all the forms of Interests. Being the religion of truth and having a complete life code of It is Very Important to follow this religion by all possible means to get the eternal success.
We believe that Muhammad PBUM is the last prophet of Allah almighty and there is no more prophet to come till dooms day. it has been long since our prophet passed away and to preach the teachings of Islam it is the responsibility of every Muslim to let every other Muslim know about it and also to follow the Islam themselves. Also this will motive the non Muslims to convert to Islam if they will see all the Muslims following the Islam. The reason behind this fact is that Islam is the religion of nature. Each and every aspect of life is explained in it and the holly Quran guide the thirsty souls to the peace and rest by encouraging to understand one’s self and the reality why human being is created and what is the exact role Of Human beings.. Allah says in the holly Quran.. Why don’t you think of the universe, the sun and moon the rotation of earth around sun ... why don’t you think on yourself…. Indeed you can get the true religion(ways toward the glorious Allah) if you can think about the universe and in yourself.
It was because of these facts and realities that a gathering was held in Main masjid Itewon Korea to reconvert our lives to the one who is our creator.. The one and only one who is almighty the most powerful and merciful. People from abroad and all around Korea rushed to attend this religious gathering. That was an honor for me to the Ijtema as it was national vacation in Korea.

There were more than 2000 people from all around the Korea attending this spiritual Ijtema to create a sense of responsibility among ourselves and let our brothers know about the true role of Muslim. There were many scholars from Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, Malaysia whose religious presentations were amazing.
There was scenery of brotherhood, Emaan, and sacrifice for one another. People from different nations, countries, and with different colors, families and languages were sitting together praising the one and the most beneficent, Allah for all the blessing he has had upon the Muslims in particularly and all humans on generally. The Ijtema was disciplined and was a source of meeting for all those people who otherwise have no chance to see their friends, family members and relatives. There were a number of people who present themselves for the volunteer work to make the stay of guests easy and interesting.  This Ijtema ended with prayers for peace around the globe and particularly for the Muslim countries. Also hundreds of people present themselves in the way of Allah to learn Din-e-Islam by themselves and make other brothers remind their lesson of true Islam. It was indeed a great effort by the Muslim federation Korea and may Allah almighty bless them with successful life now and after death. May Allah shower countless blessings upon those who attend this ijtema or contributed in any way to make it a success.. Ameen

Seongju Life Festival with BnBHero

It has always been a source of inspiration for me to look on how the different departments, organizations and associations collectively work for achieving the goals of common interest in Korea. The case of promoting Korean culture, traditional performances and homestay is the best example of collaboration between the Korea Tourism Organization and the BnBHero. The Korea Tourism Organization provides the opportunity to explore the Korean traditional performances and the K pop music to attract the foreigner expects and also to share the beautiful culture of Korea to bring harmony and peace to the world by developing multicultural society.

The BnBHero is doing a great job by providing comfortable HOME stay all around the Korea and this is the uniqueness of the BnBHero that this stay is quite cheap as compared to the motels and hotels facilitated by the respect and Love form the family that is providing Home stay. This kind of stay not only provided a better opportunity to explore the ways of living in Korea but also helps to understand the real hospitality of Korean people. Last year I had a chance to stay with a BnB family in Yeosu expo and that was an amazing experience. It was an easy process to get reservation and then the family with whom I stayed was really loving and supportive. Here is the link for my blog. https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.455415891135552.109681.100000014361742&type=1&l=f0837271f0

This week end May17, 2013 I had a chance to travel with Bnb Hero and KTO to Seongju to attend the “Life Cultural Festival”. For me it was again an amusing involvement to make new friends and share my thoughts and experience with the participants form all around the world. It was beautiful day of Friday when I along with my wife went to Itewon to catch the bus for the trip. My wife was attending as a guest. We were warmly welcomed by the organizers of Bnb hero. They all were so supportive and co-operative.

Life Culture Seongju Fetsival (SLCR) was already started form May 16th and have to end on May 19th in the town of life culture, Seongju (Head of Seongju, Kim, Hang-gon) under the theme of "Song of Living, Life, and Hope.”The event venue was ‘Forest Outside of Castle' and other parts in Seongju-eup. The event provided exhibitions, performances, and experience activities on Korean's thoughts and cultures on life and Korean Melon promotional event, in particular, was held.
SLCR is extensively acknowledged as experience oriented festival to families. It was one of the reason there was a number of families with the cute children enjoying all around.
We were supposed to reach our destination in 03 hours after departure from Seoul but because of the heavy traffic it took us 05 hours to reach Seongju where we had a nice Korean lunch with plenty of foods.

Soon after the lunch we rushed to visit the Hangae village which is the traditional village and around 6500 years old. The houses were constructed in middle of 15h century. Most of them belongs to the Lee family of Seongson . WE have our guide from that family who explained the history of that traditional village in an expressive way. The village was calm and cool and for me it was a nice place to stay in and get yourself back after tiresome life of city like Seoul.
After that trip we move back to Life culture festival with many attractions waiting for us. Every participant was excited for the festival as it was stunningly arranged on the river side with colorful fascinations.
The most interesting thing of the event was the opportunity to deeply consider life and death and realize how important our lives are. Life declaration and torch lit event were great events as well. Most of the attendee were just travelers and were here to have an opportunity to take pictures and sightseeing.
However, at Seongju Life Culture Festival, have equal opportunity to enjoy harvesting experiences and events. They included chamoe tasting, carving, quiz game and so on.  The Chamoe was very tasty and especial one. In addition; there were other promotional events and chamoe market.  Also, pottery, wheat and rice harvesting, doll making experiences, Box-Art, Robot puppet show, caricature, multicultural experience, tea ceremony, kite, and tent play was always on during the event.

The day when we arrived was a remarkable day with dance performances and "the LIFE IS golden experience was held with Taebongan march and prenatal music festival, flower blossom recreation. Everything was so cool and lively. Since we have to go back home so we depart from the festival around 5:30 PM with lots of good memories in our minds. Thanks to BnBHero and the KTO for providing such an awesome opportunity to explore this site of Korea.

Dedicated to my Professor on teachers day 2013

One meets many people on the journey of life….all speaking different languages…people that one can learn a lot from…people whose memories become an important asset of one's life…whose imprints blur with the passage of time….and there are some such special people whose words…whose character is deeply set in our minds…who become role models for us. Memories associated with them become the light of beacon for us. One such character is here in my life too, someone who love me, care for me and give me attention. He is my Professor Han Gon Choi, the professor in college of Pharmacy, Hanyang University ERICA campus.
Life without family is so hard and difficult. We faced hundreds problems and sometimes it is very difficult to cope with odd situations. Life is busy and fast all the times and  have very little time to cope with the challenges we faced in day to day life. Especially in Korea, life is always pali pali (fast). Meanwhile if you find someone caring for you, take pains for you when you are in difficult situations or facing hard times is a true blessing of Allah almighty. Indeed Prof Dr. Han Gon Choi is such a personality for me who has not less than a blessing for me here in Korea.
I still remember the day when I was very new at Hanyang University. Some of the international students really discouraged me with the stories about their professors and their life in Korea. But when I met my professor, the case was totally different and changed. I found him very gentle, dedicating, affectionate, encouraging and honest person. It has removed my distress and gave me courage to work with attention and devotion to achieve my goal.
I cannot forget the day when I was stuck in my research and  missing my family and couldn’t concentrate on my research when suddenly professor Choi came to lab and said ooooh Fakhar are you Okk?? He further said, come to my office and when I told him about my situation he smiled and said don’t worry about your research enjoy your Korean life and then he suggested all our lab mates to go to a nearby Pakistani restaurant for dinner and watch a movie. This was something which made me respect my professor from the core of my heart. I always feel at home when my professor asks me why your eyes are red?? I feel safe when he ask me why are you coughing??? Did you have a fever?? Did you take medicine??? I feel honored when he used to say.” good job Fakhar”, I feel secure when my professor says,” take care of yourself”, I feel blessed when my professor says, “what would you like to eat in dinner tonight with me”. These are something which made me feel special and compels me to think teaching is a noble profession and if joined with kindness and affection it becomes worship and a source of satisfaction both for the teacher and learner.
It was a worthy moment of my life when I was in Chicago, US along with my professor, presenting our lab work in International pharmaceutical conference. During the trip I have come to know how caring and a kind person my professor is. Being the only Muslim among the students, professor was always caring about my food, stay, health and praying times. Compassion, care and love are common words and sometimes they seems very little things but when outside home land when someone come to your room and ask about your health these words become meaningful, when someone come to your table and ask about your foods stuff these words become expressive, or if you can see someone caring about all your matters, then one can understand the true meaning and importance of those words and this is how my professor deal me during my US trip.
To start a research project and work out till it finish is a hard job to do and sometimes we face a lot of troubles , problems and even failure in our research and same happened to me but thanks to my professor as he is always been encouraging and motivating throughout my research carrier. It is only because of his day to day efforts that I am very close to finish my first project. He is always accessible in and out of the classroom and felt the potential in every student to fall in love with the imagery and power of Pharmaceutical knowledge. He has an inspirational personality while he is explaining some research work or taking some subject in class. His command on subject is incredible and this made him a famous and most respected professor of our college of Pharmacy.
When it is turn of attending conferences he is always encouraging to attend and learn something from these conferences. He is always supportive for travel in Korea, making new friends and enjoying the Korean life. I have almost completed the level-2 of Korean language offered by Hanyang University at ERICA Campus for the HEC scholars, while most of my friends have left the course. The only reason behind this is that my professor always said, “If you want to spend a successful Korean life, you need to learn the Korean language”. Further he said, “It will make your Korean life easy and joyful.
Today at this point of appreciation I want to say Thank You to my professor for what he did for me so far. I want to say Thank You Sir for all that care, love, compassion and courage that he provided me all the way in my Korean life. I have learn a lot from my dear sir, both in the official and unofficial sittings and I wish I may stand where he want me to see. May Allah almighty bless you with more success and happiness in your life.

Remedy for the hearts in Pain

I heard from many people and many times that the name of Allah is much powerful and it gives peace and rest to those who are depressed, distressed and in pain. Yesterday it happened to me and I thought Yes, the name of Allah, almighty is a source of gratification for the hearts in pain. It has been since many days that my Hindu lab mate is upset. The reason behind which is unknown to him or he may don’t want to share with us. But his dismayed face clearly tells the whole story.
I usually used my cell phone to give me a prayer call at the time of prayer.  Mostly I am in lab when it is time for Assar prayer and when my Cell phone gave Azan (praying call); usually I am not nearby it. Yesterday when I had a praying call, I was doing experiment on the other part of lab, as soon as I heard it I just rushed to stop it as it take 4-5 minutes and I don’t want to disturb other fellows.  When I was about to stop it, my Hindu lab mate requested me to please don’t off it. He said it give me a kind of satisfaction and I want to listen it till its end. Then he requested me to make him listen once more. I was quite surprised as he closed his eyes and was listening by heart. He asked me to download it for him from YouTube.  I did it for him.
Although it is a small act but it gave a big lesson. My Emaan become stronger in the name of Allah almighty. It remind me that,” Indeed the peace & rest of Hearts is in the name of Allah”, who is the creator and the almighty.  Being the believer of Islam I know Allah tells the right path to those who believe and struggle for it. I wish my friend get the right path of Islam.. Ameen

B boy freestyle Competition

Korea Tourism Organization is always busy in fascinating people towards the dynamic performances in Korea. It has been always pleasure for me attending these performances and sharing my thoughts with friends and family. It was May 5, when KTO hosted a Free Style B boy Session event at their headquarters in Seoul, near city hall. Like all the performances of Korean arts it was also an amazing performance embellished by the martial arts of B boys. Every move was gorgeous and breathe taking. The Free Style Session is a 3 on 3 B boy competition .The crews all around Korea battle it out to become the ultimate winner and let may say they were just astonishing with their performances.

I along with my wife attend this event of freestyle B boy show. It was again a big event arranged at KTO building with nice arrangements. It reminded me the last year R16 B boy competition arranged by KTO at Seoul Olympic park where B boys from all over the world shows their expressive arts and US Monkeys were the winner. Personally I just love this kind of arts and I am a big fan of B boy competitions.

Congratulations to Crews, their skill was perfect and praised by everyone at the spot. The event was beautified by not only foreigners but a lot of Korean people as well which shows a sense of interest for this kind of competitions. This event was a success for the Korea Tourism Organization.

Another event parallel to the B boy show was the appointment of Jay Park as the ambassador of KTO. As he was the ambassador last year too, so I found a lot of love for this young man from the Korean youth. They just Love this man. That was an amazing eve I spend with the KTO supporters. Looking forward for some more exciting and exclusive events like this. Thanks to KTO for the opportunity to have fun that night.
