Common People

Life changes every minute.. You lose friends.. You gains friends..you realize your friends wasn’t ever rally your friend and the person you used to hate can make a really good friend… you look for love… you find love.. You lose love. You realize all along that you have been loved..you lough..you cry..you lough so hard that you cry..you do this..you do that..you really wish hadnot done that..you then learn from that and you are lad that you did .. You love your ups.. you love your downs..you see good movies..you see bad movies..you wonder if your life is just a big movie..you look at others and wish you were them..you then realize who they are and glad you are you.. you life..you hate life.. in the end you just find yourself happy to be living life no matter whats being thrown at you ..

We may not be able to change what we have done in the past…. but we can change what will happen in the future.  Sometimes life stuck at a point. it seems like there is no way of exit. All your intelligence, rules, regulations and plans become meaningless. You want to stop the life at that moment but it never stops. It just keeps on going the way it goes. I don’t know why we feel such helpless. The more you think the more you get confused.

Basically, we the common people have always fear of losing something or someone. This fear of losing some one always forbade us from taking quick decisions. We never lived for ourselves as all the way in life we care about others; those other may be our partners, relatives, siblings, friends or anyone who once we met in life.

Everyone have to take some hard decision sooner or later. Sometimes it becomes so hard to take some decisions and then defend it to ourselves. Live became too hard to spend, still we have t go with what we have in our hands. Life never ends for someone as it keep on going but somewhere in our personality, inside our self something remain undefined  and missing throughout our life. To be very honest no words, no satisfaction and no care can withhold this situation. No matter how much we tried we are unable to justify our decisions.

Whenever we are in conflict with someone, there is one factor that can make the difference between damaging our relationship and deepening it.
That factor is CARE... and sometimes we need to take tough decisions just to prove, “I care You a lot...”

I have nothing more than that to say…

Teacher Forever

Teacher Forever
By Fakhruddin
(This story is Published in UNESCO 100 BEST STORIES of the year 2009-10)

One meets many people on the journey of life….all speaking different languages…people that one can learn a lot from…people whose memories become an important asset of one's life…whose imprints blur with the passage of time….and there are some such special people whose words…whose character is deeply set in our minds…who become role models for us. Memories associated with them become the light of beacon for us.

One such character has been there in my life too, someone whose love, labor and hard work has brought me to the point where I am today; this is something that I myself, my parents and my respected teacher Sir Asmatullah had dreamt of. I still remember distinctly…that timid little boy in class seventh….who had a strange fear inside of him…the fear of making a mistake….that if I say something wrong…everyone will laugh….If I ask a silly question…what will people say?...That boy wanted to go up on stage…he wanted that he should address people…that people should clap and applaud him….but in spite of desiring all this….he wasn't able to do anything….and then when day to their class came a new teacher…young, determined, nurturing and hardworking…he had a strange kind of magnetic charm …a charm that pulled everyone towards him…that teacher directed his very first question to this boy….and that boy, even though he knew the answer, and wanted to speak, was unable to answer it, this was my first encounter with Sir Asmat.

Sir Asmat's microscopic vision had spotted that restless boy lurking inside of me…the boy who had something to say….who wanted to mingle with people…who wanted to view life from that point, which one can access only after continued hard work….he started to pay me special attention…he started offering free tuition to me and to three other students like myself… he taught us …how one is to live in society…he initiated not just academic but also co-curricular activities for us… he protected us from the ravishes of time.. and thus our relationship deepened over time…my uncle and older cousins raised some objections saying why I should be spending this much time with him…that this Sir Asmat will turn me into a good-for nothing… and then I heard Sir Asmat say that ..such is the tragedy of our society….and with this we have to survive….I will never forget the day…when my matric result was announced….and I secured first class first position…that day I had seen an inexplicable sense of peace on Sir Ismat's face that day…the sense of having attained something…the sense of reaching the first milestone of his destination…he gave me fifty rupees cash and a pen…and he wrote on a piece of paper 'I feel proud' (which is Fakhar in Urdu, thus punning on my name) ..that paper is still safe with me…and is a source of the constant renewal of my enthusiasm and passion.

Whatever direction I took in life, his sincerity and passionate commitment was there to encourage me…at every difficult moment he said… 'Fakhar, I know you can do this'…and these words of his imbibe me with a new life and strength. It was because of Sir Ismat's love and nurturing that I was able to achieve significant success in all-Pakistan-speech competitions, in essay writing and Urdu poetry at the university level. Seeing all my trophies would bring a new glint in his eyes…this would further encourage me…once he said pointing to my shields and certificates….'You know what! All these are mine…seeing them fills me with a sense of peace, knowing that I have at least tried to fulfill my role in society.

I learnt from my teacher to spread little joys among people..teach poor and deserving students for free…value your parents…and always have faith in yourself…  success  will always be yours…I want to be of service…I want to return all that to society…that came my way from Sir Asmat… I want to follow in his footsteps….he , who gave an identity to a timid little boy…even today Sir Asmat is like a shady tree for me, a tree in whose shade I can forget all the hatred, misgivings and bitterness of the world, even if it be for a short while…my pen can never encompass the gifts I have received from him…but my mind can surely follow his path and bring forth the new day.

The one who is in my vision and my mind
My being at my zenith is but proof of his excellence
If the entire city gathers to see you
That is but a miracle of your matchless magnificence
A new light is aglow in thine heart,
O Fakhar
What hue is this in your philosophic
thought's essence

Searching My self

People say why I am traveling too much they think that I am just wasting their time. I usually don’t respond for these kinds of questions but to me traveling is like my best friend. It is a kind of search for myself where ever I get a good moment to see I get myself. It always compels me appreciating the beauty of life.

It reminds me the existence and importance of happy moments in our life. It also make me always appreciate the Creator the ALLAAH , the most merciful and mighty who created this universe for the benefit of human beings. When I look at the mountains, their green scenery the ravishing flowers, the awesome fall, the cold winter winds, the colorful springs, the wide sea and their tide with heavy waves  I just think how Stronger the Creator of all things will be, It made me think always , How charming and loving my life and this world is .

When I look at the man’s achievement in technology for making life easy and delightful I appreciate the human being and it always give me courage at every step of my life that we can do everything, everything we wish but the only thing is our commitment and dedication.

For me, travelling is like finding my soul, yes my soul while always looking for finding something new, exploring the facts of life, studying their behavior of the nature and human beings and the impact of social , cultural and traditional norms and values on individual and social/national level.

Buddhism in Korea

I observed that Buddhism is greatly promoted in Korea these days in every trip you will find visits to temple. Mostly these visits are free of cost especially foreigners are invited for this kind of trips. I don’t know why but not only Korean but foreigners are encouraged to visit temples and see history of Buddhism. There is a tip they offered usually and that is called Temple stay. For foreigner this is free of cost.

They will let you know about Buddha preaching’s, their life style and their traditional ways of soul therapy. They emphasize on the use of nature for the comfort of human beings and according to their believe that is why temples are located on the top of mountains so that people may be able to explore the nature, have a walk, hiking with fresh breath and most importantly they may have time to get themselves back.

What so ever the reason is but these people are doing great job in spreading their religion, believes and thoughts in systemic way. It is also a fact that both the believers and non-believers travel just for fun and for the sake of wondering around. Mostly they are not concerned with the believes of Buddha. Sometimes to explore the beauty of Korea is their only concerns. It made me think many times who is sponsoring these kind of events and who is paying for such trips. What so ever the reason is, the best thing is that internationals are enjoying such events..:)

Fear of Expectations

Each Day I’m thankful For
Nights that turned into mornings.
Friends that turned into family.
Dreams that turned into Reality.
and Likes that Turned into LOVE!

There are things in life we don’t want to happen, but have to accept; things we don’t want to know, but have to learn, and people we can’t live without, but have to let go.

I have so many things in my life still to be decided. However some decisions are really very tough to be taken and sometimes they may take your internal peace and concentration. All the way in my life I have been considered as a person who always compromise. Most of the times it worked but sometimes these compromises may ruined my life to some extant.

Common people like me are always supposed to compromise, sometimes with your family, sometimes with your friends and similarly with many other things like  EXPECTATIONS, and Time  also. Don't Know but this time when I am going to decide about my life It seems quite painful to compromise. Let see what is gonna happen this time..
But I also know that attitude is a little thing that makes a big difference and that's why  I am still determined to be cheerful and happy, in whatever situation I may be; for I have also learned from experience that the greater part of our happiness or misery depends upon our dispositions and not upon our circumstances.

1st Ever Halal Pizza Party

Love is always around you…. What you need to do is just to open your eyes and find it… for me…. I have always been lucky in this regards as I have found lovely people all the way. Being a part of society it happened many times that many unwanted and undeserved happiness reached as a whole my life is full of joys and satisfaction…Hanyang University is not more than a family…. We are more than 100 scholars, sharing our love and brotherhood abroad…. As a foreigner student we have a lot of issues to be resolved. But our collective efforts, respect and brotherly approach to all has made our life easy and interesting….

College of Pharmacy is a famous college of pharmaceutical sciences and is making its place among the renowned schools of Korea. At the moment we are 11 scholars in the college of pharmacy…. Probably the highest number of foreigner scholars in any department of Hanyang University. Thanks to the new comers as they are really active in making gathering and sharing love…. It is just because of them we can see an interesting life all around. One of the many examples is their success to make halal chicken pizza in Korea first time ever. I never thought I will be able to eat halal chicken pizza. But these guys made it possible…….

I must appreciate their dedication and commitment to bring the Pakistani scholars together at college of phramacy. Especially Omar Mustapha Omer Salman are incredible in this regards. Somewhere the idea is initiated by Abid Mehmood who is the pioneer of many ideas like that. Most of the ideas come to his mind when we are having exams; but after finishing the exam all that vanishes…… anyhow this time they just made it possible.
They take boneless chicken and apply some spices to it and boiled it, before that they have a discussion with Mr. Pizza, whether they can make a chicken pizza that way. Upon their agreement they just proceeded.
It was a nice evening when all the scholars of college of pharmacy moved together accompanied by the senior most scholar Ms. Rehmana Rashid. She was the chief guest of the party. The other scholars included Mr. abid, Mr. waqar, Mr. alam, Mr. akram, Mr. waqas, Mr. sohail, Mr. omar Mustapha, Mr. omer salman and myself.
That night was memorable because of many reasons. It was the first ever party of the college of pharmacy scholars. It was also the first ever halal chicken pizza party in the history of HYU. Also it was a great gathering from the new comers to me and abid….. To me this was a symbol of love and sincerity. I am really happy for that……
That was not just simple pizza party……. We did everything in our own style….. Yes typical friend’s style. The Korean students also are just formal in such places, were very interested in our excitement and expressive way of sharing food together. The pizza was really tasty and the taste of salad made it perfect. Our hunger was enough to finish it at our own way. Besides all these; moments of love and sharing were incredible.
Thanks to all friends for making our night. Let spread love and make the hanyang community to follow us…
Love you all…….

It was a wonderful day to attend an episode of Inkigayo having the peformances of top class Korean K Pop stars. We were invited by the Korea Tourism Organization. The lucky K supporters have to attend and report this event on the big event of celebrating 10 million visitors to Korea.  It was a great Sunday (Nov 25, 2012) and on today's episode of Inkigayo, a variety of artists got together to present a special festival celebrating 10 million foreign visitors to South Korea. The show also featured ZE:A's Kwanghee joining IU and Lee Jongsuk as MCs.

Life to Me

To me life is full of charm, beauty and love. Somewhere there is sadness and pain as well but this is also a part of life, if not sad how can we understand the importance of happiness and satisfaction and how can we enjoy them???? ups and downs are the realities of life which should be accepted as they are. One must realize the fact that time does not remains constant, it always keep on changing. We cannot stop this change, as it is spontaneous and it always runs towards its end… yes the end of time. As the time changes, so as the emotions, level of understanding, priorities, wishes and wills of human beings . It is an accepted fact and we can understand this reality from our daily life experiences.

As a child, we have curiosity, innocence and attractions for our childish behaviors. At this age, our priorities are parents, food and all good looking and colorful things. As an adult our priority changes as we have lots of work to do, school work, homework and studies. We have to spare some time for our friends and beloved one. Our curiosity increase overlapping the innocence. Sometimes we don’t care about foods. We want to fly and we are having fighting nature with a new zeal and enthusiasm.

It is just after graduation we feel a big change in ourselves. Our priorities changes once again, at this age of life we look for a job, a comfortable life with in a smart and beautiful life partner, somewhere we feel while making some decisions that our parents are aged now, they cannot make good decisions for us anymore. As they are old and we are people of new era, so they cannot understand our situations and emotions.  Friendship in this age becomes meaningful to us and about foods, who cares…

Than, a new life begins, with new hope, new priorities, new thoughts and new zeal. We get a job; get married and our approaches to life changes. Our new life seems more attractive than old parents.  Starting new life means closing old chapters. At this point we want to enjoy our life the most we can. But somewhere we starting realize how hard the life is. The more we are facing the facts of life the more we try to be realistic.

The next age of life is again with a new zeal and new intensions and priorities changes again for making our lives more satisfactory. We want our children to be happier than we were at their age and we trying hard to make their dreams true. At some points we starting realize the importance of our parents. At this age we can feel the true love, care and emotions of our parents. We start missing them. To me, all those are lucky who still have a chance to serve their parents.. Friends are less important in this age, as our concentration is diverted to our family and children, their education, life style and comfort.

Relations are always complicated to me, it is only because of the expectations that develop automatically on both side s and become stronger with the passage of time. I am surprised, whether it is possible to avoid expectations and all the problems which results because of those expectations. People usually say Ooh you are my best friend…. I just Love you… You the most sweet to me.. You are just awesome… You are my sweet heart. I can do everything for you… But Sometimes it take just a moment to destroy everything..
Sometimes just a word is sufficient to bring you into the world of reality.. Yes the world where there is love for self and nothing else. Because when there is involvement of self, ego and interest everything, every relation become meaningless. Just have a look around you; you will found more than 95% people doing the same including you. Friendship ends for just nothing.. the one moment you are the hero and the next moment you are just nothing.  A common man with hurting heart and sometimes they mean to hurt you…  I personally think every person have a personal zone of comfort and discomfort..  Somehow you can call it ego. We cannot tolerate anything behind the boundary line of our comfort zone. If this is truth… then where is the best friendship???… where is the relation forever???.. Where is the sacrifice???.. Why is the discrimination between good and best friends????

I think this kind of love and friendship exists only in fairy tales and movies. In this world of materialism nothing exists as love any more. But at the same time there are still some relations worthy mention.. yes the relation of brothers and sisters (The blood relations)are still enchanted with love and true love. One can say and I have seen myself many cases around me when brothers and sisters priorities changes with the passage of time coz of their new lives and new responsibilities. To me, there might be two reasons for it, i.e mostly when they are get married and rarely when they feel a kind of injustice from their parents which creates haters among them.

To me the true relation is the relation of mother and father for their children which is just pure and without any interest for themselves. In every case and always their priority is their children and at every step of life one can feel the strength and purity of relation. No matters how bad you are to them but when their turn to act they have nothing other than to forgive you. They may not take a moment to hug you and that is the true relation.

What I discussed above is just my opinion ..You might have many objections on my writing like this, especially about the relations.. You have the right not to agree.. But this is what I feel and experienced..

There are things in life we don’t want to happen, but have to accept; things we don’t want to know, but have to learn, and people we can’t live without, but have to let go.
To me, “Attitude is a little thing that makes a big difference.” - I am still determined to be cheerful and happy, in whatever situation I may be; for I have also learned from experience that the greater part of our happiness or misery depends upon our dispositions and not upon our circumstances.
I can conclude the discussion with some beautiful line form someone.

We all come in different SHAPES and SIZES.

We all have STRENGTHS and weaknesses.

What's right for one person may not be right for another.
There are things that are important to me, that you don't care about at all!

And sometimes your behavior doesn't make any sense to me.
But I want for us to understand each other, and communicate well,
because we live together in the same world.

I know I can't expect you to want the same things that I want.
We are not the same person, so we will not always see things the same way.
I have my own Thoughts and my own Ideas,
that may or may not fit into your vision of who I should be.

By learning more about my own Personality, and about other Personality Types,
I can come to a better understanding of my strengths and weaknesses.

Who is Right and Who is Wrong

You have the right to attack on our country…..you have the right to invade to our territory.. ..You have the right to throw bombs in our homes, cities and lands…. You have the right to Kill our innocent children and weapon less people. You also have to right to shed our blood like water… Because you are in power, because You (Israelis are supported by US and UN) and also because you think you are the GOD…. We don’t have any right to protect ourselves, our parents and children and our ladies for your cruelties... we don’t have the right to throw a stone on you… We even don’t have the right to protest against your bombing… Because we not in power and also because we consider ourselves the creator of God… But don’t forget there is someone above all looking at your Cruelty and my our patience.. Don’t be too much harsh ..The day of judgment is very close.. Don’t forget….. Your forefathers who once declared, they are the GOD.. but, today there is not a single man who can praise them…

You can kill us; you also can cut our bodies into pieces. You can destroy our home and cities… This is the maximum you can do.. …But Let me tell you , we will be Used to it and will be tried of doing so,, But your will never be able to impression our believes, our thoughts and our intensions…We know We will be the winner.. Inshahallah

Hayllu Walk

As a special event for Hallyu (Korean wave) fans around the world, the Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) has arranged a variety of programs that some of the hottest Hallyu celebrities had joined last week end . The event  take place on November 17th at Seoul's Olympic Park in Songpa-gu, Bangi-dong. Scheduled programs included a walking race with the Hallyu stars, a sweepstakes draw, and a mini concert staged by the participating Hallyu stars. A photo-zone was also set up at the venue and all participants in the event received Hallyu star souvenirs.

It was really fun to be there with a couple of friends enjoying a walk with the K stars like, INFINITE, ZE:A, Kim Soo Hyun, and more. We were really very crazy to see our stars performing in our front. There was a lot of participation from the internationals including almost every country visitors, tourists and students. It was really incredible to be among the professionals who are the heartbeat of young generation of Korea.

I also feel great motivation among the K stars to walk with tourists and foreigners residing in Korea. They were really energetic and their smiling faces were really attractive.. We had a great fun all the way. The concert was superb. All the performers were amazing in their performance. It was a great day overall. Thanks to the KTO for providing such a nice opportunity.

Gwangalli Beach

(광안리해수욕장) is 1.4 km long, 64m wide, and is famous for its fine sand. This area has undergone a water cleaning program, and as a result, the water of the beach is pristine. The clean waters of this are also attract many fishermen. For those looking for some action, there is the Olympic Yacht Rental where you can rent yachts. You can also enjoy water-skiing, jet skiing, windsurfing, and other exciting water sports. On the beach there is an outer concert stage where the Busan Ocean Festival and other various events are held. The area has a cultural center, a museum, theaters for plays and movies, an art gallery, TV station, and famous Korean and non-Korean fashion brand name shops. It is a popular gathering place for young people in their 20s and 30s

This is Gwangalli Beach (광안리 해수욕장) in Busan, Korea. And while Haeundae gets all the publicity, Gwangalli Beach quietly thrives as one of Korea’s hidden gems.A nice beach, cafes, nightlife, restaurants, entertainment — there’s plenty to do, and something for everyone. If you’re looking to swim, the thing that sets Gwangalli Beach apart from Haeundae isn’t so much what it has as what it lacks: namely, massive crowds. On our visit the beach was quite free as it is going to be winter soon. The water is getting cold. Still couple love to sit around the beach as it is less crowded.

Gwangalli beach is famous for its night look. When the sun sets it might be time to get out of the water, but it isn’t time to leave the beach. After dark Gwangalli Beach takes on a different but equally cool vibe.Gwangalli Beach is set in a cove. Spanning this cove is Gwangan Bridge — a massive, 6.5km long, doubledecker suspension bridge. The bridge is a fairly imposing sight by day, but at night it lights up and looks amazing reflected on the surface of the water.

Of course, Gwangan Bridge isn’t the only thing to flex its neon muscles after dark. Like every other entertainment destination in Korea, Gwangalli is awash with neon from dusk til dawn. Honestly, I’d guess that even a small Korean city could give Times Square a run for its money when it comes to bright neon lights.

The road running from one end of the beach to the other is loaded with cafes, restaurants, bars, and higher-end hotels. If you’re in the mood for food there’s a decent variety on offer.  But if you’re in Busan you really ought to eat fish — the fresher the better.

And the fish doesn’t get much fresher than you’ll find it at Millak Raw Fish Town (민락 타운). Dining at Millak is an experience not to be missed. It really deserves its own post, but here’s a quick overview.

Located on the north end of Gwangalli Beach, Millak Raw Fish Town is famous for its raw fish. Don’t forget to try it.. J

Busan Tower

Yongdusan in downtown Busan, is one of the 3 well-known mountains in Busan. Its old name is Songhyunsan, which means a mountain has a view of the sea through the dense fine tree forest. Later the name has changed into Yongdusan. It came from its shape, which is similar to dragon head and people thought it has a spirit to defeat enemies coming over the sea.

On the mountain were shrine built by Japanese people during Japanese colonial role, but now are Cheokhwabi monument (the stone monument to the exclusion of foreigners from the country), Chunghontap (memorial tower for Korean war victims), 4.19 Revolution monument (the student's anti-government revolt), the statue of General Lee Sunsin(the great commander in Joseon Dynasty period(1392-1910)) and Busan tower.

During Korea war, displaced people built houses on it even on the top, but 2 times of big fires took all them away making it bald mountain. Since then, fierce efforts to plant trees have created such beautiful park. The name of the park was once Unam park in the time of the Liberal Party’s ruling but it went back to Yungdosan park after April revolution (1960). It is a place with beautiful scenery. Especially the night landscape from Busan tower is magnificent.

One of the most beautiful attraction of this park is the Busan tower which is created in turn of Seoul Tower. You can see a beautiful look of Busan from this tower. There are large numbers of Attractions for the couple. They can put key locks as a source and reminder of their love. Those who are unable to visit Seoul tower can put their love locks in Busan tower as a token of their love. There are also some good locations to make memorable pics.

I along with my friend have an opportunity to explore this part of Busan with all its attractions. When we reached there it was quite early morning. So we have lot of time to look around. The view was stunning, the Busan was silent and it was seemed like Busan is getting life. The Dynemic  Busan was getting its energy as the sun rays were spreading all around.  The top look was incredible as it seemed like Busan was in our feet. The se e shore can be easily seen spreading the way till our eye can see. I strongly recommend to explore this part of Busan.
