Somebody said our elders don't know about the current politics. He added that they are illiterate and know nothing about the system, rather they are getting the benefits related to their selves and their families.
I personally think they are well aware of the situation but what they are doing is that they are just trying to be a part of the corrupt system by taking benefits for themselves. It is a well known method in our province that the political leaders visit few elders and families during the process of election, realizing them that they will be given their part in the form of few jobs of low level or by providing some water pumps to their families.These so called MASHARAN sell their dignity and loyalty to nation with these cheap price every time and again. they used many tactics to get as many votes as possible for these politicians to fulfill their damn requirements. It has been since i get maturity the same story is repeated every time. But till today even the basic problems/demands of our nation like the clean water supply and electricity are not solved. why because everybody is trying to get some personal benefits. no body is thinking for the system. No body care for collective problems and issues and this is or dilemma.
Knowing and unknowing your responsibilities are two separate things. Our elders are well known of their responsibilities, they know all the drawbacks of the system, they are equally sensible and patriotic, they have the sense of judgment but the problem is that they are selfish. They just want to fulfill their own requirements. Some of them are struggling to get jobs for their sons and grandsons, or pumps and nalka and the others are devastating themselves in the name of Islam. and i think if you know nothing and act like this.. it is not a big deal but if you are well aware of all the facts and still doing same. it is rather a big crime than ever. i personally like a system which have planes for changing a system. Which consider the best rights of society and equal for all. I like those who speak of justice and equality. Who struggle to finish the poverty, corruption and bring peace and love to our nation, believe me we don't know the exact meaning and prevalence of PEACE and peaceful society otherwise we would never support these Khan khawaneen and Siasi Ulumaa. But our forefathers know what is peace and what is happiness exactly but they are spoiling our future for just a job or two of clerk or peon.. May Allah bless our nation.. Ameen
