It has been since long in Korea I have too much trouble
in following the maps and reach my destinations. Most of the time I got late
because of wasting my time in understanding the maps and ways to reach my
destination. Being a K Performance supporter I have to go to many places in Seoul
and to there well in time is always important for me. However then I learn about many applications
to travel with to make my journey easy. The applications include, “Visit Korea”
and “Seoul travel guide”.
KTO is doing a lot to make the life of foreigners comfortable,
attractive, interesting and easy. This is why the KTO is using new and
innovative approaches to make the life of Internationals satisfactory. Seoul
(The Korea Herald/ANN) - A guided tour of major tourist attractions in Seoul is
now available at tourists' fingertips with the release of a mobile application
on 16 places popular among foreign tourists.
The application named "Seoul Walking Tour"
enables tourists to explore the city without the help of tour guides as it
offers audio service in multiple languages - English, Japanese and Chinese -
and is installed with GPS service. The application will make city traveling
more fun and educational with detailed explanations of each spot.
The i Tour Seoul iPhone application is a useful tool
that provides information while traveling through Seoul. It automatically
determines the user's current location and identifies surrounding attractions,
dining establishments, shops, etc.
To download the i Tour Seoul application for Android mobile devices:
1) Start the "Android Market" application on your Android device.
2) Enter "i Tour Seoul" in the search bar.
3) Click on the “download” button.
To download the i Tour Seoul application for Windows Phone devices:
1) Launch the web browser on your Windows Phone device.
2) Enter [http://www.visitseoul.net/i/iTourSeoul.cab] in the address bar.
3) Click on the “download” button.

This new free app is a smart audio tour guide featuring
sixteen of the most popular tourist destinations & attractions in Seoul’s
most beloved walking districts:
Download the app for your iPhone or Android device. Use it to travel around
central Seoul from your couch or use to to enhance your exploration of Seoul
with multimedia content. Load your phone with the app before you leave for
Korea. The app will download the data it needs so you can use it even when you
don’t have a data or wifi connection.
I have a chance to practically
use this data while I was on way to Cheonggyecheon, Jongno, and Gwanghwamun. This
application leads me to my destination as I used subway line from Seoul station
and get off at jonggak station. It has all the necessary information about all
the attractions of Seoul in a total walking distance of 08 kilometers and
having audio files in a number of 20 .
How to use the
application:
Ø Move the map. Touch the screen once and
then drag the map to the place you want.
Ø You can enlarge and reduce the map.
Ø See the main page, touch the map to see the
map or list of tourist attractions.
