World has created thousands of athletes with high intellect, skills, power and fame. Some of them get so much fame and respect that they have never even thought of it. Every sports man have their own story right from a player to a super star. However, some of the athletes get respect not only because of their games but also because of their good deeds towards the humanity. History has shown us numerous examples that different ports man and woman put their energies to serve humanity. It could be to assist the youth to overcome drug addiction and abuse problems, build homes for families that have lost their homes due to calamities etc. The athletes are able to pull other athletes to support them in the pursuit of these matters with better results being realized. Those athletes may be from a basketball court, tennis court, football pitch, cricket ground etc.
The following athletes have been able to offer support in the alleviation of societal problems;
Muhammad Ali (Boxing ligand)
Muhammad Ali’s generous legacy cannot be measured in dollar signs and decimals, but by the countless stories of his willingness to bring joys to others. As President Barack Obama put it, “We admire the man who has never stopped using his celebrity for good — the man who helped secure the release of 14 American hostages from Iraq in 1990; who journeyed to South Africa upon Nelson Mandela’s release from prison; who has traveled to Afghanistan to help struggling schools as a United Nations Messenger of Peace; and who routinely visits sick children and children with disabilities around the world, giving them the pleasure of his presence and the inspiration of his example.” Muhammad Ali is the first, the original charitable athlete. And he’s been at it for 55 years now.
Imran Khan (Cricket Ligand)
“Treatment of cancer and free of cost”, which come true through the efforts of former Pakistan cricket captain, Imran Khan. Over the past decade, Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Centre has established itself as a Centre of excellence providing comprehensive care free of cost to thousands of indigent cancer patients. This pioneering, state-of-the-art hospital located in the heart of the Punjab, Pakistan was founded by Imran Khan, one of Pakistan's most illustrious cricketers and the winning captain of 1992 ICC cricket world cup for Pakistan. As a charitable institute, it is funded predominantly from the donations of friends and well-wishers from around the country and across the world.

Tim Tebow (Football ligand)
He is an American Football Quarterback who plays for Denver Broncos, an accomplished footballer who also happens to support many charitable events and organizations. Tim Tebow through his foundation has been able to raise millions of dollars mainly to support children related courses. His support includes an orphanage in Philippines as well as schooling in Colorado and Gainesville.
SerenaWilliams(TennisStar)
She is a former number 1 tennis player who has won seven grand slam titles. Serena Williams has been instrumental in supporting education through her foundation and build African Schools. So far she has helped build two schools in Kenya, The Serena Williams Secondary School in Matooni and Wee Secondary School in Makueni.
Dikembe Mutombe (Baseball ligand)
He used to be known mostly for his trademark “no, no, no” finger wag after blocking shots, but now former NBA Defensive Player of the Year Dikembe Mutombo is better known for his amazing dedication to charity. In 1997 he founded the Dikembe Mutombo Foundation to improve the lives of people in his native Democratic Republic of Congo. SInce 2001 he has donated at least $15 million dollars to build a hospital in his hometown of Kinshasa. That’s putting your enormous salary to good use.
Derrick Coleman ( Football player)

One week back (before I wrote these words) a young deaf fan wrote a letter to Seahawks FB Derrick Coleman, who is also deaf appreciating his personality. This all comes after the inspiring ad about Coleman's life that went viral last week. Coleman wrote a letter back to the deaf fan and her twin sister and shared it the next day on Twitter, encouraging them to be proud of what they have and try to be more confident. This was just a simple act however it highly appreciated on social media with the believe that the athlete’s will keep continue their efforts to make this world a better place to live.

It is alleged that 13,000 athletes from around 45 countries will bring not only their sportsman ship but their love for humanity to 2014 Incheon Asian Games. These games will promote the world peace and bring harmony to all the nations of Asia.
